Omelet LLC accuses entities of copyright infringement regarding film 'License to Operate'

LOS ANGELES – A limited liability company alleges other entities are interfering with the distribution of its film.

Omelet LLC filed a complaint on March 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Nikki Hevesy, Thin Man Productions LLC, Through The Glass Productions and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it owns copyrights to the 2015 film "License to Operate." The plaintiff holds Hevesy, Thin Man Productions LLC, Through The Glass Productions and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly made false of ownership to the plaintiff's film and have interfered with the film being aired at festivals, networks and distribution agencies.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendants from further interfering with the distribution of plaintiff's film, general damages, special damages, exemplary or punitive damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants.
