Salt & Pepper Clothing Inc. alleged to have used textile design without authorization

LOS ANGELES – A textile converter alleges a Vernon corporation unlawfully used its fabric design.

Unicolors Inc. filed a complaint on March 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Salt & Pepper Clothing Inc., Jay Oh and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from having its NR 764 design copied. The plaintiff holds Salt & Pepper Clothing Inc., Oh and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold garments that feature fabrics that bear plaintiff's design without permission.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, award all profits, statutory damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by C. Yong Jeong and Amy J. Choe of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
