LOS ANGELES – An Ontario corporation alleges a City of Commerce company infringed its design for a cap for an acrylic resin storage container.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from having its '527 patent infringed. The plaintiff holds Housewares International Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly distributes vacuum-sealing cap for a container design that infringes plaintiff's patented design.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, actual damages, interest, enhanced damages, treble damages, permanent injunction against the defendant, all legal fees, interest, and any other relief as the court deems just.
