SANTA ANA – A Costa Mesa company alleges several of its patents were infringed by four entities.
Commercial Copy Innovations Inc. filed a complaint on March 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Southern Division against Ricoh Electronics Inc., Ricoh USA Inc., Mimaki USA Inc. and Lanier Worldwide Inc. alleging patent infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from having its patents '777, '102, '466 and '127 infringed. The suit states these patents relate to photo printing. The plaintiff holds Ricoh Electronics Inc., Ricoh USA Inc., Mimaki USA Inc. and Lanier Worldwide Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly infringed plaintiff's patents through their sales of various products.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks pay damages to the plaintiff, enhanced damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by H.H. (Shashi) Kewalramani of S|H|K Legal, APC in Irvine.
