SACRAMENTO – A West Sacramento man alleges his claim for long-term disability benefits was wrongfully denied.
Scott filed a complaint on March 15 in the U.S. District Court for the
Eastern District of California against The Northwestern Mutual Life
Insurance Co., Bowen Scarff Ford Lincoln Long Term Disability Benefits Plan
alleging violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he had to resign from his
job in 2015 because of complications of and treatment for cancer.

the defendants allegedly wrongfully denied his long-term disability
benefit claim and upheld their decision to deny plaintiff's disability
benefits despite having sufficient medical proof.

plaintiff, injunctive relief, interest, all legal fees and any other
