Law money 13

SAN FRANCISCO – A former construction worker alleges he is owed unpaid wages.

Edgar Daniel Lopez filed a complaint on March 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against JJ Nguyen Inc.; Tu Bao Nhu Nguyen, also known as Tu Nguyen; and VY Loan Tran, also known as VY Tran alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and state labor codes.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was employed by the defendants from May 2012 to March 2017, with a break in 2015, as a construction worker. The plaintiff holds JJ Nguyen Inc.; Tu Bao Nhu Nguyen, also known as Tu Nguyen; and VY Loan Tran, also known as VY Tran because the defendants allegedly failed to pay overtime wages at a rate of time-and-one-half and failed to provide accurate pay stubs.

The plaintiff seeks compensatory damages for all wages earned, overtime wages, liquidated damages, statutory damages, interest of 10 percent, actual damages, all legal fees, and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Tomas E. Margain and Huy Tran of Justice at Work Law Group in San Jose.
