Consumer claims GNRG unlawfully called her to solicit services

Phone 04

LOS ANGELES – A Huntington Beach consumer claims a home energy company invaded her privacy with its solicitation calls.

Denise Menichiello filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on March 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against GNRG Inc. and Does 1 through 10 citing the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that beginning in January, she suffered damages from receiving several unwanted calls from the defendant. The plaintiff holds GNRG Inc. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly kept on calling plaintiff's home phone number despite her being listed on the Do Not Call Registry since 2003.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks $500 in statutory damages, $1,500 in treble damages, and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Todd M. Friedman, Adrian R. Bacon and Meghan E. George of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills.
