LOS ANGELES – A New York photographer alleges her photo of the late Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace was used without authorization.

Dana Ruth Lixenberg filed a complaint on April 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Coogi Partners LLC, doing business as Coogi Australia, and Does 1- 10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered damages from having her work used without authorization. The plaintiff holds Coogi Partners LLC and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold apparel bearing plaintiff's photograph.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendants, award all profits, monetary advantages, statutory damages, all legal fees, a trust be entered over all accused products, and all profits, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Stephen M. Doniger, Scott Alan Burroughs, Trevor W. Barrett and Justin M. Gomes of Doniger/Burroughs in Venice.
