Photographer claims Barcroft Media, Valnet unlawfully used photos

LOS ANGELES – A photographer alleges several of his photographs were used without permission.

Jeffrey R. Werner filed a complaint on April 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division against Barcroft Media LTD, Valnet Inc. and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered damages from having his photographs used without his consent. The plaintiff holds Barcroft Media LTD, Valnet Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly distributed plaintiff's photographs without authorization.

The plaintiff seeks statutory damages, actual damages, interest, enjoin the defendants, all legal fees, profits, and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Elliot B. Gipson and Steven H. Edwards of Fayer Gipson LLP in Los Angeles.
