SAN DIEGO – A Sacramento consumer alleges her privacy was invaded by a medical supplies and services seller's calls to solicit its services.

Latanya Hives filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on April 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against World Wide Medical Services Inc. and Does 1 through 10 alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered damages from receiving several unwanted solicitation calls from the defendants beginning in January. The plaintiff holds World Wide Medical Services Inc. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly called the plaintiff several times using an automatic dialing system without her consent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks $500 in statutory damages, $1,500 in treble damages and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Todd M. Friedman, Adrian R. Bacon and Meghan E. George of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman P.C. in Woodland Hills.
