International Fashion Trends accused of copyright infringement over alleged use of design

Copyright 10

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County corporation claims one of its textile designs was used without permission.

City Prints LLC filed a complaint on April 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against International Fashion Trends and Does 1 through 10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business as a result of its copyrighted design being used without authorization. The plaintiff holds International Fashion Trends and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly manufactured and sold fabrics that bear plaintiff's P10511 fabric design.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendants from further infringing plaintiff's design, all profits, monetary advantages, statutory damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Stephen M. Doniger, Scott A Burroughs, Trevor W. Barrett and Justin M. Gomes of Doniger/Burroughs in Venice.
