Man alleges Chevron location had portable restroom near disabled parking space

SAN FRANCISCO – A disabled person alleges a San Francisco property had an obstruction in the access aisle of the disabled parking space.

Cesar Madrillejos filed a complaint on March 29 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Chevron U.S.A. Inc. citing the Unruh Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is disabled and uses and uses a cane or walker. He alleges he visited the defendant's Van Ness Avenue location in December 2016 and that a portable restroom was located in the access aisle of the disabled parking space. The plaintiff holds Chevron U.S.A. Inc. responsible because portable restroom allegedly blocked the plaintiff from entering the defendant's snack shop.

The plaintiff seeks injunctive relief and general damages in the amount of $25,000. He is representing himself.
