SAN FRANCISCO – A man alleges an individual misrepresented that he owned a property in San Francisco.

Michael V. Farrar filed a complaint on April 9 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Chadwick P. Houser and Does 1 through 100 alleging breach of contract, fraud and deceit and other counts.

According to the complaint, the defendant signed a promissory note for $300,000 with the plaintiff in 2105. The suit states Houser represented that he owned a condo in San Francisco and that was used to secure the loan. In March 2015, the suit states that Farrar told the defendant he would no longer loan him money until he provided third-party evidence that he owed the property, which the defendant did not provide.

The plaintiff holds Houser and Does 1 through 100 responsible because the defendant allegedly misrepresented his ownership of the property in order to get a loan from the plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks damages of $300,000, interest, exemplary and punitive damages, and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Barry Fischer of Law Office of Barry Fischer in Los Angeles.
