SAN FRANCISCO – A Vallejo woman has filed a class action against a security monitoring and protection services company alleging violations of labor codes.
Jasmine Coleman filed a complaint on behalf of other similarly situated on April 3 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Universal Protection Services LP and Does 1 through 100 citing California labor codes.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff was employed as security guard from 2015 to October 2016. The plaintiff holds Universal Protection Services LP and Does 1 through 100 responsible because the defendants allegedly did not pay its employees for all hours worked because the hours were not recorded, failed to provide adequate meal and rest periods, did not pay a minimum wage for work done off-the-clock and did not provide accurate wage statements.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid wages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Matthew R. Bainer of The Bainer Law Firm in Oakland.
