Homeowner alleges contractor Kanler Inc.'s work contained several defects

SAN FRANCISCO – A San Francisco homeowner alleges a contractor was negligent in its work.

Jakub Kusmierz filed a complaint on April 13 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Kanler Inc., Rajiv Agarwal and Does 1-10 alleging breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 16, 2015, plaintiff contracted defendants to remodel his property. He alleges the work contained several defects, including improperly installed structural hardware, insufficient subfloor ventilation, out-of-level floors and other issues. As a result of defendants' alleged negligence, the plaintiff incurred costs, expenses and damages in the amount of $500,000. 

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages of $500,000, punitive damages, attorney's fees and costs and such other just and proper relief. He is represented by Ron U. Lunski of Lunski & Stimpert LLP in San Francisco.
