Adriatic Insurance Co. alleges individual failed to pay more than $7,000

SAN FRANCISCO – An insurance firm alleges a driver has refused its requests for payment for property damages.

Adriatic Insurance Co. filed a complaint on May 17 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Michael Anthony Bruna seeking subrogation.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that its insured San Francisco Independent Taxi Owners Association suffered damages when Bruna ran a red light and collided with the insured's vehicle on April 24, 2014, in San Francisco. The plaintiff alleges it paid more than $7,000 for the claim and demanded payment from the defendants, and that the defendants have refused to pay.

The plaintiff seeks sum of $7,526.06 for property damages, rental expenses, interest at the rate of 7 percent, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Jay W. Smith and Nancy A. Young of Law Offices of Jay W. Smith in Van Nuys.
