FRESNO – The owners and operators of a residential care facility are accused of improper care.

Christina Fishinghawk filed a complaint on May 1 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Orchard Park Management LLC, Orchard Park Leasing LLC, Erik V. Schuk and Does 1-250 alleging wrongful death.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that while at defendants facility, plaintiff's father Jim Doyle wrongfully developed pressure sores and ulcers and suffered multiple falls, resulting in head injuries and urinary tract infections, which culminated in his death on Jan, 13, 2017.

The plaintiff holds Orchard Park Management LLC, Orchard Park Leasing LLC, Schuk and Does 1-250 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to timely provide continence attention and care, failed to provide adequate assistance with personal hygiene and failed to provide adequate nutrition and hydration to plaintiff's father.

The plaintiff seeks general and special damages according to proof, costs of suit and all other relief as the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by Stephen M. Garcia of Garcia, Artigliere, Medby & Faulkner in Long Beach.
