Woman seeks disability benefits from Prudential Insurance Co.

LOS ANGELES – A Santa Clara County woman alleges that she is disabled and is entitled to disability benefits.

Wai Han Fong filed a complaint on May 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against The Prudential Insurance Co. alleging violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she became disabled in July 2015 and that the defendant denied her claim in June 2016. 

The plaintiff seeks benefits approximately $45,229 at the rate of approximately $4,059 per month, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Scott E. Shaffman of Scott E. Shaffman in Monterey.
