FRESNO – A Fresno County man alleges he was not reimbursed for money he provided to an individual to start a sports club.

Frank Mejia filed a complaint on June 12 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Israel Mejia and Does 1-20 alleging breach of partnership agreement, unjust enrichment, fraud and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 3, 2010, he provided defendant with $65,000 to develop a business known as Tower Sports Club. The suit states that the parties agreed that the defendant would not pay the plaintiff until the business began making money. The plaintiff alleges that he began asking for repayment of the money in 2015 but the defendant has failed to do so.

The plaintiff holds Israel Mejia and Does 1-20 responsible because the defendants allegedly denied paying plaintiff's interest in the business and refused to reimburse plaintiff's contribution.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages of more than $65,000, plus interest, costs of suit and all other relief as the court deems just and proper. He is represented by Jeff Reich and Shane Reich of The Reich Law Firm in Fresno.
