FRESNO – The city of Fresno alleges a property within its limits still is in violation of municipal code.

The city of Fresno and the people of the State of California filed a complaint on May 15 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Eluid Hernandez and Does 1 through 50 inclusive alleging that the defendants violated the Fresno Municipal Code.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on July 21, 2015, plaintiffs started inspecting the defendants' East Townsend Avenue property for building/municipal code violations. Following numerous inspections, plaintiffs claim that majority of the rubbish, garbage and junk had been cleared from the property, the fence at the rear had been partially repaired, most of the barbed wire had been removed and the obnoxious odor had been reduced. However, a broken RV was allegedly still located on the property and the property still had not been registered as vacant.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek an order to pay any and all administrative citations issued to them, appoint a receiver for the property to authorize to correct conditions and for such other and further relief as the court deems proper. They are represented by Stephanie M. Snyder of Douglas T. Sloan, City Attorney in Fresno.
