Construction Laborers Trust Funds for Southern California Administrative Co. alleges it is owed contributions

LOS ANGELES – A Santee corporation and others are alleged to have failed to pay contributions to a labor union trust fund.

Construction Laborers Trust Funds for Southern California Administrative Co. filed a complaint on June 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Anzalone Masonry, Inc., KerryAnne Anzalone, Blase Anzalone Jr., Western National Mutual Insurance Co., Solpac Construction Inc., Soltek Pacific Construction Co.; Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. and Doe 1 through Doe 4 citing the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Construction Laborers Trust Funds for Southern California Administrative Co. suffered monetary damages due to unpaid and late paid contributions. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly breached their bargaining agreement with the plaintiff by failing to make their benefit contribution on behalf of their employees.

The plaintiff seeks unpaid monthly contributions, interest, all legal fees, monthly contributions and interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Alexander B. Cvitan, Marsha M. Hamasaki and Peter A. Hutchinson of Reich, Adell & Cvitan in Los Angeles.
