FinishMaster Inc. seeks more than $180,000 from Precision Body Shop & Detail

Late 06

SAN FRANCISCO – An auto paints distributor alleges that a Colma auto body shop owes it money for the breach of a contract.

FinishMaster Inc. as successor in interest to Annex Group Inc., filed a complaint on June 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Precision Body Shop & Detail Inc., Lou Hanhan and Anthony Caprini alleging breach of contract, breach of guarantee and other counts.

According to the complaint, Precision and the plaintiff entered into an agreement in March 2015 in which the defendant agreed to purchase 100 percent of its paint from the plaintiff. The plaintiff holds Precision Body Shop & Detail Inc., Hanhan and Caprini responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay for the purchases when due.

The plaintiff seeks actual damages of $189,190.10, all legal fees, lost profits and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Joel R. Meyer of Barnes & Thornburg LLP in Los Angeles.
