Semicaps Pte LTD alleges Hamamatsu kit infringes patent

SAN FRANCISCO – A company headquartered in Singapore alleges one of its patents has been infringed.

Semicaps Pte LTD filed a complaint on June 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Hamamatsu Photonics K.K., Hamamatsu Corp. and Photonics Management Corp. alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages from having its '982 patent, titled "Method of Testing an Electronic Circuit and Apparatus Thereof," infringed.

The plaintiff holds Hamamatsu Photonics K.K., Hamamatsu Corp. and Photonics Management Corp. responsible because the defendants' M10383 Digital Lock-in Kit allegedly infringes the plaintiff's patent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by David D. Schumann of Marton Ribera Schumann & Chang LLP in San Francisco.
