Adobe Systems Inc. claims individual is selling counterfeit software online

SAN FRANCISCO – A Los Altos Hills individual is accused of selling counterfeit Adobe software on eBay.

Adobe Systems Inc. filed a complaint on June 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Jim Tao and Does 1-10 alleging trademark infringement and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages from having its trademark infringed. The plaintiff holds Tao and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly made counterfeit copies of plaintiff's products and sold them to consumers without authority online.

The plaintiff seeks damages, profits, actual damages, restitution, all legal fees, all monies, treble damages and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Christopher Q. Pham, Marcus F. Chaney, Nicole Drey Huerter and Hung Q. Pham of Johnson & Pham LLP in Woodland Hills.
