Calportland Construction alleges it is owed more than $8,000 for materials

LOS ANGELES – A Glendora business alleges it was not paid in full for materials provided for a federal project.

United States of America, for the use and benefit of Calportland Construction, and Calportland Construction filed a complaint on June 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Bara Infoware Inc., North American Specialty Insurance Co. and Manjinder Paul Singh citing the Miller Act.

According to the complaint, Calportland Construction provided goods and materials to Bara, which was the general contractor on a federal project at Fort Hunter Liggett in Jolon, in 2016. The plaintiffs hold Bara Infoware Inc., North American Specialty Insurance Co., and Singh responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay plaintiff in full for the materials.

The plaintiffs seek principal amount of $8,741.06 plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by James D. Lipschultz of Law Office of James D. Lipschultz in Los Angeles.
