Jitrade Inc. alleges Orange Shine, others used design without permission

LOS ANGELES – A California company doing business in the apparel industry alleges that one of its textile designs was used in garments without authorization.

Jitrade Inc. filed a complaint on June 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Cicindelae Inc. doing business as Orange Shine; Do Gi Kim; Design of DK Inc., doing business as Cube Plus and Cube Instyle; Yong Woo Kim; and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages from having its JIC-22 fabric design copied without its consent. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly sold or manufactured garments made out of fabrics that bear plaintiff's design.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, all profits, all legal fees, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by C. Yong Jeong and Amy Choe of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
