FRESNO – A California woman alleges she had to seek medical treatment for swelling caused by bed bug bites she sustained at a Fresno hotel.

Francyne Carrillo filed a complaint on June 5 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Diamond Int'l Investment LLC, doing business as Park Inn by Radisson; Carson Hotels Inc.; Global Hospitality Management Group Inc.; Betty Qi  and Does 1-20 alleging battery, negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 3, 2015, she sustained personal injuries and monetary damages as a result of bedbug bites during her stay at Park Inn, a hotel owned and operated by defendants.

The plaintiff holds Park Inn by Radisson, Carson Hotels Inc., Global Hospitality Management Group Inc., Qi and Does 1-20 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to maintain the hotel in a safe and habitable condition and to keep it free from insect infestations.

The plaintiff seeks general and punitive damages, costs of this action, attorneys’ fees, prejudgment interest and such other and further relief. She is represented by Ilan N. Rosen Janfaza of The Law Offices of Ilan N. Rosen Janfaza in Beverly Hills.
