Man alleges Takata airbag in Toyota vehicle caused injuries in collision

SAN FRANCISCO – An Alameda County man alleges that he was injured in a vehicle collision because of his defective airbag.

Logan Berrian filed a complaint on June 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Takata Corp. and TK Holdings Inc. alleging strict products liability and negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2016, he suffered physical injuries when the airbag system in his Toyota vehicle deployed with excessive force. The plaintiff holds Takata Corp. and TK Holdings, Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly were negligent in designing and manufacturing the airbag used in his car.

The plaintiff seeks compensatory damages, special damages, punitive damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Randolph Gaw, Mark Poe, Joshua Ko, Victor Meng and Samuel Song of Gaw I Poe LLP in San Francisco.
