Couple seeks damages after collision with USPS employee

SACRAMENTO – A Kern County couple allege they were injured in a collision with a federal employee.

Raymond Vincent Ramone and Rita Yvonne Ramone filed a complaint on June 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against United States Postal Service; Andres Recinos and Does 1 to 20 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on April 24, 2016, they were driving on state Route 46 in Paso Robles when Recinos, a USPS employee, struck the plaintiffs' vehicle. The plaintiffs allege that they filed a claim with the USPS in October 2016 for damages but that the USPS has not accepted or rejected the claim.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek medical expenses, property damage, general damages, expenses and incidental damages, interest and all legal fees. They are represented by Greg A. Muir of The Law Offices of Young Wooldridge LLP in Bakersfield.
