FRESNO – A Fresno County consumer alleges a Ford Mustang he purchased is defective and is seeking replacement or restitution of the vehicle.

Harry J. Brouse filed a complaint on June 9 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Ford Motor Co. and Does 1 through 20 alleging violation of the Song-Beverly Warranty Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 5, 2016, he purchased a 2016 Ford Mustang for approximately $25,000. He alleges that the vehicle has issues with the transmission, electrical system and battery and that it has been taken in for repairs on three separate occasions.

The plaintiff holds Ford Motor Co. and Does 1 through 20 responsible because vehicle is not merchantable because of the alleged defects and malfunctions.

The plaintiff seeks replacement or restitution, award for damages, attorney's fees, cost of suit and expenses, prejudgment interest and such other relief the court deems appropriate. He is represented by David N. Barry of The Barry Law Firm in Los Angeles.
