Saban Brands faces suit over termination of Paul Frank contract

LOS ANGELES – A Korean company alleges an Los Angeles company unlawfully terminated a contract.

Asiana Licensing Inc. filed a complaint on June 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Saban Brands LLC alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the parties had entered into an agreement for the plaintiff to provide licensing and merchandising services for the defendant's Paul Frank brand in Korea. The plaintiff holds Saban Brands LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly lost revenue it was entitled to receive under the agreement.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of no less than $500,000, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by Rex Hwang of Glaser Weil Fink Howard Avchen & Shapiro LLP in Los Angeles.
