LOS ANGELES – A San Luis Obispo County consumer has filed a class action against an online business loan company over allegations of invasion of privacy.

Tenley Hardin filed a complaint on behalf of all other similarly situated on June 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Cash Fund LLC and Does 1 through 10 alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that beginning in April 2017, the defendants called his cellphone in an attempt to solicit its services. The plaintiff alleges his number has been listed on the Do-Not-Call Registry for several years.

The plaintiff holds Cash Fund LLC and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly called the plaintiff without his prior express consent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks $500 in statutory damages, $1,500 in treble damages, and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Todd M. Friedman, Adrian R. Bacon and Meghan E. George of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills.
