Subdirect LLC alleges Latina Media Ventures owes more than $18,000

Contract 06

FRESNO – A Fresno County company alleges a publishing company has failed to pay for its services.

Subdirect LLC, doing business as Subco, filed a complaint on June 22 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Latina Media Ventures LLC, doing business as Latina Magazine, and Does 1 through 25, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the parties entered into a partially verbal, partially written agreement wherein plaintiff provided magazine subscription services to defendant. The plaintiff alleges the defendant became delinquent on the account in February and now $18,230 is due.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because it allegedly failed, refused and continues to refuse to pay the outstanding balance on the agreement to plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for compensatory damages in the amount of $18,230, for post-judgment interest, costs of suit, attorney's fees, costs, and such other and further relief as the court may deem just and proper. It is represented by David L. Emerzian of McCormick, Barstow, Sheppard, Wayte & Carruth LLP in Fresno.
