Los Angeles County woman alleged to owe more than $2,000 for education loans

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County woman is alleged to have failed to pay off her student loans.

United States of America, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education, filed a complaint on July 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Lisa R. Shannon alleging failure to pay.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Shannon failed to pay the principal amount of her debt plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $2,804.51 plus interest of $4,793.47 with further interest at 8 percent per annum accruing at 61 cents per day, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by William I. Goldsmith and Michael L. Goldsmith of Goldsmith & Hull, A.P.C. in Northridge.
