FRESNO — A Mendola man has filed a class action lawsuit against his former employers, alleging violation of the California Labor Code.
Jose Isabel Rodriguez, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a complaint June 27 in Fresno County Superior Court against Barrett Business Services Inc, Carlucci Transport inc. and Does 1-100, alleging they violated the California Labor Code.
According to the complaint, Rodriguez, who worked for the defendants from 2011 Oct. 1, 2016 as a driver of 18-wheel trucks, was financially damaged for not receiving the statutory minimum wages for all hours worked and proper overtime compensation for those hours worked in excess of 40 per week.
The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to pay minimum wage and overtime compensation, failed to provide paid meals and rest periods and rest days and failed to provide accurate wage statements.
Rodriguez seeks trial by jury, all unpaid wages, compensation for all time worked, liquidated damages, and all just and proper relief. He is represented by attorneys Marcus J. Bradley, Kiley L. Crombacher and Taylor L. Emerson of Bradley Grombacher LLP in Westlake Village, California, and by Sahag Majarian of Law Offices of Sahag Majarian II in Tarzana, California.
