Communications business alleges Liberty Mutual violated law

SAN FRANCISCO — A California communications company is suing Liberty Mutual, alleging breach of contract and violation of federal law.

Skelton Communications Inc. of Paso Robles filed a complaint July 26 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, Federal Insurance Company, and Does 1-5, alleging they failed to pay the plaintiff for the subcontract balance owed of more than $44,000 for work performed.

According to the complaint, Skelton suffered monetary damages due to the unpaid balance. The plaintiff alleges Liberty Mutual has failed to make timely payments to the plaintiff for the balance.

Skelton Communications seeks damages of $44,566.56, interest, all legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorney William J. Braun of Braun & Melucci LLP in La Jolla, California.
