L.A. fabric business accuses California competitor of copyright infringement

LOS ANGELES — A Los Angeles fabrics business is suing Anaheim garment vendors, alleging copyright infringement.

A Plus Fabric Inc. filed a complaint Sept. 7 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Pacific Sunwear of California LLC, Pacific Sunwear Stores LLC, and Does 1-10, alleging the defendants' illegally copied and reproduced the plaintiff's fabric designs.

According to the complaint, A Plus Fabric suffered damages from having its knit stripe RB-3S fabric designs copied. The plaintiff alleges the defendants illegally sells garments made out of fabrics that bear the plaintiff's designs.

A Plus Fabric seeks trial by jury, enjoin the defendants, all profits, statutory damages, legal fees, interest, and all other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorney C. Yong Jeong of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
