Employee alleges hostile work environment at Lakos Filtration Solutions

FRESNO – A Fresno County man alleges he reported sexual harassment to his supervisors and they failed to take corrective action.

Anthony Aguilar filed a complaint on Feb. 4 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Lakos Filtration Solutions, Miriam Alvarado and Does 1-25 alleging hostile work environment, retaliation and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that during his employment with Lakos Filtration Solutions, he was subjected to unwarranted harassing because of his sex and gender. He alleges Alvarado sexually harassed him and that he reported the conduct to his lead person and supervisor in 2017. He alleges he was retaliated against after he made his complaints.

The plaintiff holds Lakos Filtration Solutions, Alvarado and Does 1-25 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to take immediate and appropriate corrective action after plaintiff's complaints of harassment and retaliated against plaintiff by subjecting him to adverse employment actions.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for compensatory, special and general damages; attorneys' fees; costs; interest; punitive damages; and further relief as the court deems just and proper.
