The Veen Firm, a prominent San Francisco law firm, has filed a lawsuit against a former employee, Tony Archuleta-Perkins and his husband, Timothy Archuleta-Perkins.

The suit alleges that Tony, who served in various financial roles within the firm for six years, allegedly embezzled over $1.1 million during his tenure, allegedly with the assistance of Timothy.

The funds were allegedly used to purchase and remodel two homes in San Francisco.

According to the complaint, the Veen Firm is seeking to hold the defendants accountable for their alleged theft and to place a constructive trust over accounts and assets purchased or enhanced with the embezzled funds.

An attorney representing the Veen Firm in the incident specifically told the Northern California Record that no client funds were implicated in the alleged misappropriation.

The Veen Firm is seeking unspecified damages, plus punitive damages and attorney fees.

The lawsuit was filed Dec. 20 in San Francisco County Superior Court.

Veen is represented in the action by attorneys Craig C. Daniel, Matthew J. Gluck and Justin L. Sowa, of the firm of Gluck Daniel Atkinson, of San Francisco.
