Employees sue DL Masonry over alleged violation of labor codes

Money

SACRAMENTO – Employees of a Rancho Cordova masonry business have filed a suit over allegations of labor law violations.

Natanael Abrego, Lisandro Galvan, Rafael Galvan and Rogelio Martinez Lopez filed a complaint on Feb. 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against DL Masonry; David Charles Ludlow, and Does 1 through 10, citing violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and California labor laws.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege they did not receive overtime pay and meal breaks during their employment. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they purportedly failed to properly compensate the plaintiffs by providing uninterrupted meal and rest periods and failed to pay overtime wages as required by law.

The plaintiffs seek the following: compensation for all damages including unpaid overtime wages, legal fees and any other relief the court deems just and proper. They are represented by Will M. Yamada, John P. Tribuiano III and Donald P. Novey of Novey, Tribuiano & Yamada in Sacramento.
