Show Ready LLC accused of breach of contract with fund

Contract 03

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County employer is alleged to not have paid contributions on behalf of its employees to a labor union fund.

Board of trustees of the Teamsters Miscellaneous Security Trust Fund, in its capacity as fiduciaries for the Teamsters Miscellaneous Security Trust Fund, filed a complaint on July 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Show Ready LLC alleging violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages as a result of unpaid contributions from the defendant in April, May and June. The plaintiff holds Show Ready LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay monthly contributions on behalf of its employees according to its bargaining agreement with plaintiff.

The plaintiffs seek all unpaid contributions, interest, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Kathryn J. Halford, Elizabeth Rosenfeld and Nicholas Starkman of Wohlner Kaplon Cutler Halford & Rosenfeld in Encino.
