Patents 07

LOS ANGELES – A California game company alleges another company is selling a card game that infringes its patented game.

Paz Gaming Inc. filed a complaint on July 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against RCD Holdings LTD, Anthony James Brown and Does 1-100 alleging patent infringement and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business as the result of its patented casino card table game being infringed. The plaintiff holds RCD Holdings LTD, Brown and Does 1-100 responsible because the defendants allegedly distributed and contributed to the inducement of others to use or sell infringing games as well as making false claims that they're the owner of the game.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks permanent injunction against the defendant, award plaintiff of damages, treble damages, compensatory damages, and prejudgment and post-judgment interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Trevor J. Zink of Omni Law Group LLP in San Jose.
