LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County resident is alleged to have defaulted on a student loan.
United States of America, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education, filed a complaint on Sept. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Burnett Brulee alleging that the individual failed to settle a debt with plaintiff.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Brulee failed to pay the principal amount of a debt with plaintiff plus interest.
The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $2,673.70 plus interest of $1,982.63 with further interest at 8 percent per annum accruing at 59 cents per day, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just.
