JD Fine & Co. Inc. alleged to use FameFlyNet Inc. photos without permission

LOS ANGELES – A Contra Costa County corporation is accused of using copyrighted photographs on its website without license or authorization.

FameFlyNet Inc. filed a complaint on Oct. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against JD Fine & Co. Inc. alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that its photographs were used without its consent. The plaintiff holds JD Fine & Co. Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly displayed plaintiff's copyrighted photographs on its website without permission.

The plaintiff seeks statutory damages of up to $150,000 per infringement, actual damages and disgorgement, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Craig B. Sanders of Sanders Law PLLC in Garden City, New York.
