Saul Chevrolet, Cardinale Automotive Group, others accused of not properly compensating employees

SAN FRANCISCO – A former parts and service counter salesman alleges several car dealerships and service centers violated wage and labor laws and has filed a class-action suit.

Marcos Rivera filed a complaint on behalf of all other similarly situated on Oct. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Saul Chevrolet Inc., Cardinale Automotive Group of Tahoe Inc., Cardinale Automotive Group, Volkswagen Hyundai, Cardinale Oldsmobile GMC Truck Inc., et al. citing the Fair Labor Standards Act and California labor codes.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he and class members were routinely required to work off-the-clock at the end of a shift and were not provided rest or meal periods. The plaintiff holds Saul Chevrolet Inc., Cardinale Automotive Group of Tahoe Inc., Cardinale Automotive Group, Volkswagen Hyundai, Cardinale Oldsmobile GMC Truck Inc., et al. responsible because the defendants' alleged practices violate federal and state hour and wage laws.

The plaintiff seeks injunctive relief against the defendant, general and compensatory damages, restitution, punitive damages, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief the court deems just. He is represented by Kyle Todd and Jacob J. Larsen of Law Offices of Kyle Todd in Los Angeles.
