Goodwill of Silicon Valley accused of infringing Miami company's patent

Patents 06

SAN FRANCISCO – A Miami company claims a San Jose business has infringed one of its patents.

Hawk Technology Systems LLC filed a complaint on Oct. 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Goodwill of Silicon Valley alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its company as the result of the infringement. The plaintiff holds Goodwill of Silicon Valley responsible because the defendant allegedly infringes claim 12 of plaintiff's '462 patent, which regards a computer-based system for monitoring and storing images from cameras for monitoring or security purposes.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks payment of damages adequate to compensate it plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Matthew J. Eandi of Eandi Law Group APC in Los Angeles.
