LOS ANGELES – A Marina Del Rey resident alleges an individual and a law firm failed to disclose their lack of experience regarding foreclosure cases.

Liz Banks filed a complaint on Nov. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Alan Eighmey, Strategic Legal Group LLC and Does 1-10 citing the federal rules of civil procedure.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in November 2014, she retained the defendants to represent her in a foreclosure case as she believed the defendants handled these types of cases. The plaintiff holds Eighmey, Strategic Legal Group LLC and Does 1-10 responsible because her case was allegedly the first foreclosure case the defendants have handled and that the defendants failed to obtain necessary discovery and other issues.

The plaintiff seeks pay the plaintiff in the amount of $113,387.30 plus any other relief as this court deems just. She is representing herself.
