Charming Charlie accused of using copyrighted Moon Pendant design

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles jewelry designer alleges a Houston company has unlawfully copied a pendant design.

L.A. Gem & Jewelry Design Inc. filed a complaint on Nov. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Charming Charlie LLC, Charming Charlie Holdings Inc. and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges it has a copyright for the Moon Pendant and that it suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds Charming Charlie LLC, Charming Charlie Holdings Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly distributed infringing copies of plaintiff's Moon Pendant to consumers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendant, award damages to the plaintiff, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Milord A. Keshishian of Milord & Associates PC in Los Angeles.
