SanDisk, Western Digital accused of patent infringement

LOS ANGELES – A Las Vegas patent owner alleges a flash memory drive maker is unlawfully using its patented technology.

Memory Technologies LLC filed a complaint on Dec. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against the SanDisk LLC, Western Digital Corp. and Western Digital Technologies Inc. alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds SanDisk LLC, Western Digital Corp. and Western Digital Technologies Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly manufacture and sell SD and microSD cards that infringes at least one claim of plaintiff's patents.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages plus interest, treble damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Matthew D.
