E & E. LTD accuses Hallmart Collections of using copyrighted designs

LOS ANGELES – A Fremont home furnishings company alleges another business its unlawfully using its designs on competing products.

E & E. LTD filed a complaint on Dec. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Hallmart Collections Inc. and Does 1 through 10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it owns a copyright for the Lakeside and Sutton designs. The plaintiff holds Hallmart Collections Inc. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold competing home furnishing using plaintiff's copyrighted designs.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendant, award all direct and indirect profits, statutory damages, enhanced damages, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by Michael W. Ellison and Michael G. Bosko of Smith Ellison in Irvine.
